SPOTLIGHT ON VIP’S

The Marshall University Festival Chorus will take place November 6-7, 2009 on the campus of Marshall University. Students from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky come together for this two-day event. This year ten students will represent Capital High School: Sarah Pauley, Ashley Bsharah, Erin O’Neil, Caleb Hardy, Marty Riley, Nicholas Naylor, Josh Terpening, Anthony Thomas, Morgan Henson and Nicole Sangid. The students have been preparing a challenging program that will be rehearsed and performed in concert on November 7 at 2:00 PM in Smith Music Hall. The concert is free and open to the public. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the college atmosphere.

With two choreography sessions in the history books the VIP’s are continuing to prepare for Kanawha County’s annual SWING SING 09. SWING SING will be held at the Municipal Auditorium on November 22, 2009 at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $5.00 for Adults and $3.00 for Students pre-sale. All tickets will be $1.00 more at the door. Please plan on attending this great afternoon of singing, dancing and acting and supporting the VIP’s. This year’s theme is True Colors, becoming who you already areand include the following songs: Façade, Ripple In The Water, True Color, Astonishing, Free Ride, and Carry On/Hold On. Please be our guest for this delightful afternoon and show the rest of the county the Capital High School spirit/support for the VIP’s.
